The Credentialing Board
American Board of Clinical Reasoning
ABCR
ABCR is the independent credentialing board that issues the CRS-BC certification. It is a separate entity from WildeCare Education — and that independence is by design.
Why an Independent Board Matters
In credentialing, independence is everything. When the organization that teaches the material is also the one issuing the credential, the credential loses its meaning. ABCR exists to maintain that separation.
Third-Party Legitimacy
ABCR reviews portfolios and issues pass/fail decisions independently. WildeCare teaches the framework. ABCR validates the outcome. These are separate processes by separate organizations.
Credentialing Standards
ABCR’s formal accreditation process is underway. The board is built to meet the same governance standards that nurses expect from established credentialing bodies.
Scalability Across Disciplines
ABCR’s governance structure is designed to issue credentials beyond the current RN certification — including future tracks for LPNs, surgical techs, and advanced practice nurses.
